Quick Filter
Quick Filter can be used when data in Excel is Filtered. It provides the following features:
- enables the user to filter a column by typing the filter in the cell directly above the filter dropdown
- enables the user to see filters applied to each column - each filter is displayed in the cell directly above the filter dropdown
Quick Filter can be turned on and off by reapplying the tool to a worksheet. The current status of Quick Filter (on or off) will be displayed in Excel's status bar.
Caution:
- This feature will add macros to your spreadsheet. You will be prompted to save the workbook as a macro-enabled workbook if you are using Excel 2007+.
- You will be prompted to save your spreadsheet BEFORE the spreadsheet is changed. This is necessary since the addition or removal of the macros randomly causes Excel to crash.
