ReportsDNA has a feature that allows you to automatically update a PivotTable when a report is generated. This feature is on the Advanced Features tab.
We are frequently asked how multiple PivotTables can be updated.
The following approach is recommended If your pivottables are all based on the data generated by a report.
1. Create your first PivotTable
2. Base all subsequent PivotTables and PivotCharts off of the data in the first PivotTable (step 1) by creating them as follows:
From the Excel menu click:
Data | PivotTable and PivotChart Report
In the PivotTable and PivotChart Wizard (Step 1 of 3), select the following option for this question.
Where is the data you want to analyze?
Choose: Another PivotTable report PivotChart report.
3. Continue the wizard based on your needs.
4. Configure your report to automatically update the PivotTable in step 1 (click http://help.reportsdna.com/default.htm?pivot_tables1.htm for instructions).
All your pivottables and pivotcharts will update automatically now.
The following approach is recommended if your pivottables and pivotcharts are all based on different data sources.
Utilized the post-run macro feature (see http://help.reportsdna.com/default.htm?macros.htm )
